I have heard all the jokes, “I stretch before golf….I bend over to tie my shoes!” or “I slam the trunk and run to the first tee, that’s a warm up, right?” Although it may sound funny, it could be that you are missing the most important part of your round. The golf swing is a very powerful and dynamic motion and a proper warm up prepares your body not only to play well, but to play safely, thus reducing your risk of injury. But don’t worry, you don’t need fancy equipment and you don’t need to get to the course an hour before your round.
